About

I’m Iris Tanner, a Cornish photographer and filmmaker who explores telling authentic and experiential stories, steered through a documentary lens to interweave authenticity, community, and connection.

Growing up in the far West of the UK has given me a unique perspective to tell stories that affect the way we can relate to the natural world. Learning how to read weather signs has dictated my life on a daily basis, she has found that constantly responding to the environment has led me to feel deeply connected with the natural world. I believe this has value and importance during this time of turbulence by sharing local stories to Cornwall that have inherited this way of living.

Currently, Iris is making a short film called ‘Innate Practice’ in the West of the UK.
